Sizing & Fit
On this page: size chart, measuring guides, detailed info about specific underwear styles
Sizing Tips
Crop Tops
Fit - For a typical t-shirt fit, choose a size about 3 inches wider than your body. Go up one size for a roomie fit, and 2 sizes for an oversized fit.
Garment width - The circumference of the garment. Not your body. Length is measured from the center shoulder seam, vertically past the nipple, down to the bottom of the shirt.
Measure the widest part of your torso. For some that may be your stomach, not your chest.
Boxer Briefs
Closest to ‘men’s’ sizing. Numbers listed are averages. The waist will fit 2-3 inches smaller and larger. The hip will fit 2-3 inches smaller and 6 inches larger. Typically, we recommend sizing down if in between sizes.
Briefs (aka panties)
Only reference the low waist measurement.
Off The Rack vs Customs
If the standard sizes on our size chart don’t fit your body, consider placing a custom order instead. They’re made to your measurements, priced the same as Off The Rack garments, and typically ready in just 2 weeks.
Pick up & Shipping - Local downtown Salt Lake City pickup available and we ship within the US and a few countries internationally.
Measuring
Measuring Standing
In minimal clothing, stand relaxed, with legs straight and weight evenly distributed. Wrap a soft measuring tape around your body. It should be snug but not constricting.
Keep the tape as horizontal as possible. Though for low waist measurements, it’s okay to let it contour to your body a bit, slightly higher on your back and lower on your belly - the way a waistband would sit.
Grab a friend, having someone measure you can be a big help.
Where to Measure
Chest/Bust - The widest part of your chest. Often right across the nipples.
Under Bust - Just under your breasts or pecs. Needed for bralettes.
Waist - Where your body creases when you bend side to side, above the belly button. Needed for high rise underwear.
Low waist - An inch or two bellow your belly button. Needed for mid-rise & low-rise underwear
Hip - Near the bottom of your butt. Where your leg meets your body and bends. If applicable, measure under an apron belly, unless it extends below the pubic area.
Measuring Sitting
Measure with your legs uncrossed, knees and feet shoulder width apart, or in the natural position you spend most of the day.
To measure your hip, the tape will be at a 45 degree angle or almost vertical. It should wrap around the top of your pubic area and your butt.
Measuring laying down will provide similar results.

Ideal for anyone with external genitalia, or plus size folks who find women’s undies too narrow in the crotch.
Customs
Briefs are AU’s newest undie edition! As we work on building up our stock, please consider inquiring about this style or placing a custom order.
Measuring Supplies
Don’t have a measuring tape? Try using a string, phone charger cord etc. to wrap around your body, then measure that along a ruler or metal measuring tape.
You can order a measuring tape online, or look for on at your local grocery store in the home goods or office supply sections. Of course any craft, fabric or sewing store will also carry them.
