About
The Open Sewing Studios are for anyone looking for a LGBTQIA+ inclusive space to work on their sewing projects. Attendees work independently with Mel (of Aqua Underwear) present for questions and guidance. We recommend coming for the full four hours, as sewing often takes longer than expected.
If you’d like a 1 hour beginner sewing class from 11am - 12pm before the Open Studio, choose the $30 option. We’re feeling out interest, and testing out this option, so not hard advertising it quite yet.
Negative COVID test or mask required. Both provided.
Supplies Provided
If you plan to borrow/use complimentary supplies, please consider paying the full workshop price, or close to, if possible.
Various bamboo and cotton spandex jersey fabric — $10 - 12/half yard (enough for one pair of underwear)
6 sewing machines
All sewing supplies to lend, such as clips/pins, thread, etc.
Please bring your own scissors or nippers —we don’t have many
