Beginner vs Experienced Sewists
These workshops are structured to accommodate all skill levels. There will be different start times in order to teach different skill levels, followed by open sewing time with instructors present for trouble shooting and questions.
If you’ve never sewn before, we’ll teach you!
If you sew but are new to knitwear and underwear, or want to use your serger (aka coverstitch machine), that’s great too.
Brief Options
The brief (aka panty) making workshop is geared towards anyone interested in making briefs with more front/crotch space than traditional women’s underwear. Trans femmes applicants will be prioritized.
Everyone’s first pair will be a regular everyday pair of briefs, in a cheeky or full coverage style (made to the measurements of your choosing).
Half way through the workshop, we’ll instruct on modifications for compression (or tucking), and other pattern and fit options –which you can try out on your second pair if you’d like.
Capacity & Fees:
The true cost of these workshops is over $200 per person, but thanks to grant funding we’re able to offer sliding scale pricing, and some free spots. If you’re able to pay on the higher end, you’d be helping to cover the admission of someone who cannot pay as much.
Refunds will only be issued if we’re able to fill your spot from the waitlist and that person can pay a similar amount as you. Refunds will not be issued for cancellations within 2 weeks of the workshop –though in the case of an emergency we will transfer your attendance to a future workshop, if possible.
